It’s with deep gratitude to the Board of Trustees and the Buckeye community that Lalita and I accept the opportunity to serve Ohio State in this new role.

As the university resumed in-person classes and operations following a historic winter storm, President Carter shared his gratitude with Buckeye students, faculty and staff who all pitched in to keep the campus running through heavy snow and bitter cold.

On the first day of the spring 2026 semester, President Carter shared a message welcoming students, faculty and staff back to campus, noting Ohio State’s momentum in areas like health care, enrollment, research and affordability, with opportunities to achieve even more in the new year.
