The new semester started with great enthusiasm, and I am thrilled to have already met so many dynamic Buckeyes on the Oval during events like the Student Involvement Fair and our season-opening games. It was a blast to join so many of you in the 'Shoe last weekend for our victory over Arkansas State!

The past month at Ohio State has been incredibly exciting. The State Tour — our annual summer tradition that was paused in 2021 because of the pandemic — was a resounding success. Our visit to the Miami Valley region showcased Ohio State to an important area of the state, reinforced vital relationships, and solidified new and existing partnerships critical to our excellence in academics, research and service.

In the coming days, the U.S. Supreme Court and other governmental entities are expected to issue decisions and advance policies that will impact our nation and the communities in which we live. As they do, we will provide the university community with opportunities for dialogue and engagement, and we will continue to rely on our shared commitment to research, teaching, scholarship, academic freedom and considerate discourse.
