The following email was sent to university students, faculty and staff on June 7, 2018.

Dear Students, Faculty and Staff:

The university announced in April an independent external investigation of sexual misconduct allegations against Dr. Richard Strauss, a former university-employed physician. As a reminder, Dr. Strauss was employed by Ohio State from the mid-1970s to the 1990s. He died in 2005.

The allegations brought forward in the past months stand in direct opposition to our values as Buckeyes — and to our society as a whole. I assure you that the university will continue to support this important investigation in every way we can.
