A Message from President Carter
Dear Colleagues:
I’m pleased to share that I have named Mark Conselyea as the interim senior vice president of the Office of Administration and Planning (A&P), effective July 1 following the retirement of Jay Kasey on June 30. I thank Jay for his more than 10 years leading A&P, and 17 years at Ohio State. Jay has made a positive impact on countless Buckeyes through planning and development of major projects and improving safety and transportation.
In this role, Mark will have oversight of the Department of Public Safety, Planning Architecture and Real Estate, Transportation and Traffic Management, UniPrint and WOSU. He will remain the vice president for Facilities Operations and Development, a position he’s held since 2019.
Mark has been with Ohio State for more than 25 years. He previously served in a number of executive leadership roles across the university, including within the James and the Wexner Medical Center, putting him in a great position to lead an already strong team as the university looks for the next leader.
Mark graduated with honors from the University of Cincinnati with a BS in health services administration, and he holds a master's in health services management and policy from Ohio State.
Please join me in wishing Jay the best and welcoming Mark to this interim role.
Thanks,
Ted
