The following message was sent to Ohio State alumni on Monday, March 16, 2020.
I want to thank you for offering your support, resources and kindness to our students and the broader campus community. Over the last several days, we have heard from many of you. We appreciate the contributions of every member of our Buckeye family.
We are all aware of the real and difficult effects of the coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19). We understand that there are many questions and concerns as we move forward. Teams across the university are working in coordination with each other and with partners locally and nationally to manage these challenges as effectively and efficiently as possible. We remain committed to sharing information as we have it. The university’s coronavirus website, updated throughout the day, provides information about the virus, our response and guidance for our community.
Everyone is pitching in to ensure the safety of our campuses while continuing to advance our academic mission. I am grateful for the flexibility and generous spirit exemplified by so many of you across Buckeye Nation. Thank you for championing our students, faculty, staff, patients and many others who are working to serve and uplift our communities during this challenging time.
Stay well, and be safe.
