The following message was sent to Ohio State faculty and staff on Friday, March 13, 2020.
Dear Faculty and Staff:
These past several weeks have presented all of us with real and difficult challenges related to the coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19). I want to convey how proud I am of your understanding, flexibility and collaboration during this extraordinary time for our university and the communities we serve.
We understand that there are many questions and concerns as we navigate multiple issues. Teams throughout Ohio State are working in coordination with each other and with partners at the city, state and federal levels to manage these challenges as effectively and efficiently as possible – and we remain committed to sharing information as we have it.
Please continue to check the university’s website for updates. There you will also find links to guidance shared this week related to university travel, human resources, virtual instruction and more.
We appreciate everyone’s continued patience and hard work during this time. Thank you for your dedication to our students, and to each other.
