An Invitation to Participate in Ohio State's Listening Survey

I'm pleased to invite you to participate in the 2026 Ohio State Listening Survey.

Dear Colleagues:

Later today, you’ll receive an email from Perceptyx, an independent third-party research firm, with a link to complete the survey. The survey contains 25 questions, covering areas like engagement, performance management, community, workplace well-being, teamwork and collaboration, growth and development, change and innovation, direct leader relationships, and the future vision for the university.

The survey will be open through April 24 and should take less than 5 minutes to complete. Your answers are strictly confidential.

We’ve benefited from strong survey participation in recent years, and I hope you’ll again make time to share your feedback on your experiences at Ohio State. Your responses will help us make decisions that position our university as a workplace of choice for talented faculty and staff. As one example, your ideas on improving well-being informed our decision last year to reinstate the Academic Winter Recess, which is now an official part of the University Calendar.

Your input is particularly important as I begin my new role and accelerate our university’s strategic direction. Workplace culture is certainly a key pillar of our vision. We have bold ambitions for excellence – but we will only be able to fulfill our potential if we are intentional about creating a culture where all are welcomed, heard, and set up for success.

Your insights will help us do that. I thank you in advance for your candor and thoughtfulness.

More information about the Listening Survey is available on the Ohio State Listening Survey website

Any institution is made great by its people, and we’re fortunate that Ohio State is home to some of the very best – world-class faculty and staff who are exceptional not only for what they do, but more importantly for who they are. Together, we can turn feedback into action to make our university an even better place to discover, learn and grow.

Thank you for all that you do for Ohio State and the communities we serve.
