About Investiture

The event is a moment to take stock of what Buckeyes have achieved and look ahead to the future.

The investiture of a president is a significant milestone in the life of a university — and a respected and time-honored tradition in academia.

The ceremony typically hosts delegates from other colleges and universities as well as Ohio State’s Board of Trustees, faculty and leaders. It culminates in an oath of office and a presidential address that will establish how Ohio State will continue growing its impact in the future.
