A Message of Thanks from President Carter
As the holiday season approaches, President Carter shares a message of gratitude with students, faculty and staff for all they do to contribute to the success and positive impact of The Ohio State University.
Hello, Buckeyes. I'm President Ted Carter, coming to you today with a message of gratitude for all you do for The Ohio State University.
It's hard to believe we're nearing the home stretch of the fall semester. When this academic year began, I said I had a feeling it would be one of our best ever, and you've delivered. We welcomed a larger and exceptionally talented student body to our campuses. Ohio's future healthcare professionals, business leaders, public servants, scientists, and farmers. We've rolled out new financial aid programs that will make an Ohio State education even more affordable for students and families. We're nearing completion of the largest single facilities project in our history, the University Hospital, and we're counting down the days until we open the doors to our first patients early next year.
We are pursuing a bold agenda in research and industry partnerships that will continue to change and save lives in Ohio and around the world. We're leading the way in embracing the opportunities offered by artificial intelligence. Our student athletes are succeeding at the highest levels of competition on and off the field. Together, we're showing the world why higher education matters - why, in fact, the work and mission of America's great land grant universities have never been more timely and important to our nation's growth and competitiveness.
On and off our campus in communities and neighborhoods across Ohio, we're showing the world how we define excellence. As is often the case, I recognize we're doing this work at a time when events around us can feel uncertain, disruptive or distracting. I want you to know how much I appreciate your continued commitment to our mission and the care with which you are treating each other and those we serve. In this season of giving thanks, I'm honored to serve alongside you in building the future of higher education. And I'm grateful that each and every one of you is part of The Ohio State University.
Please take time to rest and recharge over the holidays and as always, Go Bucks.
