Association of American Universities campus climate survey on sexual assault and sexual misconduct

Dear Students, Faculty and Staff:

Last spring, Ohio State students had the opportunity to participate in the Association of American Universities (AAU) campus climate survey on sexual assault and sexual misconduct. The university voluntarily committed to take part in this survey as part of ongoing efforts to enhance prevention and support. Today, the results have been released for Ohio State as well as for 26 other universities across the United States.

The results reinforce serious concerns regarding sexual misconduct and relationship violence – both at Ohio State and nationwide.

Last week the university announced Buckeyes ACT, which combines new initiatives with existing programs to serve as the university’s comprehensive plan to prevent and respond to sexual misconduct on campus. The AAU survey results provide valuable insights as the university continues to support a safe environment to learn and grow.

To view the AAU survey results and for more information on the resources available to the university community, please see “Additional Resources” on the Buckeyes ACT webpage.

Sincerely,

Michael V. Drake, MD
