As 2008 comes to a close, I write to share my reflections on this year at Ohio State. I firmly believe that the University has never been stronger than it is at this moment.
Truly, we have much to celebrate:
- Academic distinction across a broad range of disciplines
- The best-prepared students in the University’s history
- Remarkable faculty, who educate tomorrow’s leaders
- World-class research that improves lives and creates jobs
- Superb medical care that incorporates the most advanced scientific research
- Unparalleled service in Ohio’s neighborhoods and around the world
- The devotion of hundreds of thousands of alumni and friends
